I was enjoying the creation of my Mystery Afghan and decided to continue with it. The following clue was to make the square bigger (Clue 4 can be found here) by adding two rounds to the square.
I found this clue to be quick and simple to do and was thus easily able to keep up with all those who were doing the crochet along.
The square now looked more complete to me with the white edging. I felt that something had to be created in the middle to complete the layering work.

What do you think the next step will be?

Last weekend I completed the Christmas gift that I have been working on for my son. I had joined the squares a few weeks ago and then started crocheting the border.
When I finished the task I had set for myself, the blanket looked huge. Looking at the border, I liked that I had made it wide and that I had completed the edging in yellow.
I lay the blanket on my bed to see the full effect:
I am very pleased with the way this bedspread has turned out. I look forward to seeing my son’s reaction when he opens his gift on Christmas day.
Have you made any gifts yet for this Christmas?
