This month I am hoping to read five books over the weekends and when I get back home from work. I haven’t been too ambitious with my TBR stack this month as school starts this week and the first few months back are filled with deadlines.

The two nonfiction titles should be perfect for this month as they are easier to put down than fiction. There is a book I am waiting for that I pre-ordered and I am sure to read that one (a sequel to a novel I loved!). The start of school has been set back by a few days so I may be able to fit that one in as well.
How many books do you have in your TBR for September?

This looks like a good list, Colline. Good luck with back to school.

Thank you Robbie. The students are going through a staggered entry experience from the 15th September. The time before that will be used to prepare the spaces for social distancing, etc.

It’s always interesting to see someone else’s reading pile – and before I comment I Google the books in case I want to read one of them. I think I might go for The Silent Wife this time. My reading list for the next few weeks – that’s difficult as I have just finished a great book, And the Mountains Echoed by Khalid Houssein. I always struggle on what book to move onto after a really enjoyable read. I try and change genre so it’s less similarly comparable if that makes sense – I don’t want to be thinking ‘oh I think the last one was so much better’. So ….. I am not sure of my next few, but my next one might be Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi

I enjoy switching genres too for the same reason – in that way a read doesn’t pale by comparison!
