On Wednesday I went to the hairdresser for a much needed haircut. I was going to wait until mid-August and a few weeks before going back to school. However my hair was getting too long and the weight of it was starting to bother me.

The stylist cut quite a bit of hair from my head – over six months of growth. She layered my hair to make it thinner and lighter – and it feels so much better.

I asked my daughter to snap a quick picture of me – which turned into a lengthy photo shoot as she changed my position a number of times in order to get a photo without shadows on my face.

One of the last photos she took is a perfect picture. I like the background too as it shows the perspective of the city that I see everyday.
When is the last time you went for a haircut?

I last went to the hairdresser on about 14 March, Colline. I won’t be going yet. Our infection rate is to high.

I recently had 6 months of hair cut off as well… yep, a lot lighter. I do like that last photo the best π

That one is my favourite too Trent. And I remember your haircut – quite a bit was taken off with your trim π

My last hair cut was mid-January…needless to say, I look a bit like a Wild West desperado right now…living in LA, the window of “open” salons was briefly, then closed again!

I can imagine you wearing a cowboy hat and boots John π Hopefully the infection rate will go down soon in LA

They announced today there has been a bit of a positive change in the numbers…we just need people to be intelligent and wear a mask and social distance…shocking how stupid people are being…

I agree. If we all pulled together, it would be over so much sooner.

Looks very pretty, and I’m sure you’re enjoying the lighter feel. I like the background of the tall buildings, too. We don’t have those here at all, as we only have one tall one of 21 stories. Everything else is way shorter than that. π

Here we have up to 35 floors – especially all the newer buildings that have come up in the last few years.

You have great hair, Colline, and a lovely smile. π π I like to keep mine short but I do tend to put off going to the hairdresser.

She cut quite a bit off bit I wanted to keep some length. I will visit her again before school starts. Fingers crossed that it won’t be online!

How wonderful . . . I still have a few weeks to go before mine is cut. As you say the weight is the most challenging bit.
You look gorgeous, your daughter did a fabulous photo shoot

It is Becky. My head feels so much lighter now – especially in the heat that we are experiencing.

What a gorgeous haircut!!!!! And I love the view behind you!

Thank you so much π I am not too keen on the view though. Over the years, more and more buildings have been put up and it has taken away a lot of green space.
