Broken Tree Tops

On my morning walks, I pass by many trees that are still uncovered, their branches reaching strongly towards the sky. I have noticed, though, that some trees have had their tops broken off.

This does not matter, though, as I am sure growth will surround this stump in a few weeks.

Have the trees in your neighbourhood unfurled their leaves yet?

  1. No, here in Michigan we have, on some things, mostly shrubs, little green leaves just starting. The oak trees still look like it’s winter. The maple trees are putting out those red bumps. But no real leaves to speak of. This week it will (finally) be warm and I expect things to start popping.
