On my neighbourhood walk, I pass a retreat that I always wished for when I was a child: a tree house.

The structure has been sturdily built and hugs the tree all the way up to a well-made platform. I can imagine myself creating a cozy spot on that platform and reading while listening to the wind move the leaves around me.

As I pass by the tree house on my morning walk, I hope that someone does enjoy the space high up in the trees – especially during the summer.
Have you ever spent time in a tree house?

Something I would have loved too. One of my Pollsh family have a play house/slide/swing in the garden. Not exactly a tree house but lots of fun for the youngsters ๐ ๐

I am sure that plenty of imaginary adventures happen around that structure.

What I wanted too as a child . . . I have one now. MrB made a huge one for his daughters. Not in such good repair as this one though, nor as high but at least I have a tree house!

I always wanted a treehouse. Sadly I never got one…maybe it was more about not having a tree to put on in…

That could be a deciding factor ๐

I also always wanted a tree house, Colline. A place where I could hide out and read to my heart’s content.

Me too. And unfortunately it is an experience I could not give to my children either.

I’ve never been in a treehouse, but as a young child and then as a teen, I used to climb this one tree in our yard and take a book with me. There was a crook in a branch that was perfect for sitting and reading.

Beautifully done treehouse. Most treehouses when I was a kid were a couple of boards across a few limbs. It didn’t matter though, because it was still a lot of fun.

This is the best example of a treehouse that I have seen – definitely made by a person who knows what they are doing ๐
