A section of my morning walk is quite hilly and gives the leg muscles quite a good workout. On this particular stretch of road, a number of houses require stairs to reach the front door. I love the look of this home’s entrance with the tree-covered stairway hinting at a small showing of a rooftop.

At the moment the entrance way is brown with splashes of green. In full summer, though, the path to the top looks magnificent.
Do you have stairs leading up to your home?

I love the look of this secret house peeping out behind the trees. You are lucky you can go for walks during the lock down. We can’t but this should change next week when we move to level 4 of the lock down.

They are encouraging us to go for walks to help with mental health. I wasnβt in the beginning but felt I needed to. We have been living like this for 2 months now and my early morning walks are keeping me sane especially as I live in an apartment.

I love the idea of steps to the front door until i think of the shopping and the postman!!

I think the owners of this home do their shopping by car – but the postman would get a fair workout π

Our house is on a hill, and a walk in our neighborhood is straight up and down the entire time so we are always getting a good workout just stepping outside!

I can imagine that going for a walk in your neighbourhood gets your heart pumping. π

It really does – over a mile straight down, then back up again, plus a short quarter mile incline up our cup-de-sac, then up our driveway!

It looks like a lovely place to walk. No stairs here, or hills. It’s very flat where I live. I was just thinking the other day how much I would love to climb a hill or some stairs, something that challenges my legs.

The route for my walk gets quite hilly in places and really gets my heart rate going. When I walk briskly, I can definitely feel it in my legs π
