One of the habits I have acquired during the period of social distancing is to go on a daily walk. My social isolation did not begin in this way but I began to tag along with my husband when he went out. The daily walk has been one way in which to calm my mind as the outside air improves my mood.
This week when we went on our walk, I noticed the signs of spring. The grass is turning green and small flowers can be seen amongst the ground cover.

The sight of the flowers amongst the greenery looks so pretty and makes me smile. It definitely attracts the eye when there is a large patch of it. It is a big contrast to the brown that surrounds it.

Fields filled with the flower must look stunning. However as I live in the city, that is a sight I will not see soon. In the meantime, I will enjoy the small signs of spring that I do see.
Have you seen signs of Spring cover on your daily walk?

The roses are huge right now. I don’t get much walking done for photographing everything I see. I’m like an excited kid when I get to leave the house!

I am thinking I should soon change my walking route so that I can admire the flowers in people’s gardens. 🙂
Enjoy your walk today!

I do miss having a garden. Working in a green space would be a wonderful experience right now.

It does help . . . . do you have a balcony or patio where you can have pots?

I do. It is still too cold outside at the moment for plants – maybe another few weeks. Yesterday the temperature was below zero 😦

We walk to the top of our street and are high above Beverly Hills…from there you can see all the way to downtown Los Angeles as well as the Pacific ocean to the west….gorgeous view and because everyone is home, LA’s air is cleaner than ever!

For us, it has been many many gorgeous forsythia bushes in bloom, so it is more than just ground cover. I have not yet seen a single dandelion, althought the wild thyme is starting to show up a lot. We did have snow flurries today though.

They are really gorgeous. I love them and grew up with them in New Jersy, and am so happy to see so many in yards and in the woods areas. Some are trimmed in rather prissy ways, and many just grow naturally, so there is something for every taste!

Spring has been slowly showing off here, but I think it’s beginning to speed up a little as the trees start to leaf out. Your little blue flowers are lovely. 🙂
