This is my current last-now-next stack. After reading the super cute middle grade story titled The Copycat, I thought I could settle into a serious historical adult fiction title that explores women’s stories set in America during the oil rush. Valentine is disappointing me, however, as I am not enjoying the writing style too much.

I have decided to pick up The Nanny by Gilly MacMillan next – I think it is time I read a thriller as I want something fast-paced and even a little twisty.
What are you planning on reading next?

Don’t laugh, but years ago I bought a used copy of Chuck Negron’s Autobiography….and who is he? He was one of the lead singers of the early 70’s supergroup Three Dog Night, who had the #1 song of 1971 with “Joy To The World” along with “Celebrate”, “One”, “Eli’s Coming” and more…then it all went wrong and the cover of his book is his mug shot from jail – the name of the book? “Three Dog Nightmare.” Can’t wait to read this story!

That one sounds intriguing John – just the cover would make me curious! I hope you enjoy it.

It’s one of those “car wreck” books I think…won’t be able to turn away as he describes how he ruins his career!
