While on holiday in the Dominican Republic, we had the opportunity to try a number of restaurants and tastes. My husband wanted to try the Asian Fusion and we were lucky enough to get a booking.

As we approached the restaurant, it looked promising. I loved the entrance to the place, the night lights making it appear inviting.

I enjoyed the look and feel of the restaurant once we had entered the space. The lighting was intimate and the decorations were a delight to look at.

The food was beautifully presented.

The tastes, however, were far below what we expected. As I said to my husband, it is best we don’t go to a restaurant that offers food which we cook at home. We are disappointed every time.
Do you enjoy tasting Asian Fusion food?

I hate to go to a restaurant and eat worse food than I can cook. Appearance isn’t everything 🙂 🙂

It isn’t Jo. What you wanted when eating a meal cooked by a chef is to be blown away.

That’s a great point – if you make it at home, sometimes the restaurant’s inability to do something unique and different to it is a real disappointment!

It can be. Added to which we had tasted better options at other restaurants.

The ambiance is impressive, though I agree. I don’t like to eat at a restaurant where I can make my own food. I was curious about Asian fusion food when I heard there were doing Asian-Mexican taco fusions!

The presentation of the food was great but the tastes were bland – and not all Asian food is bland. Some of it can be quite spicy!

Definitely aware! Grew up with it most of my life. I wondered if they thought that bland food was the safe route when serving so many customers. 🙂

Such a shame. It is so disappointing to find something that falls below your expectations.

Especially when the expectation is high. The atmosphere was good though.
