The resort we stayed at in the Dominican Republic featured a beautiful Christmas tree in the lobby of each hotel.

I loved the vibrant red that had been placed on the tree as well as the glittery decorations.

At night time, though, the tree’s glory really shone through.

I could never have a Christmas tree like this at home as we do not have the space. So every time we passed the lobby or entered in the space, I enjoyed the tree’s beauty.

I saw this tree most often as it stood in the lobby of the hotel I stayed at. I did have the chance to see many other decorated trees around the resort but this was the one I saw the most.
Do you prefer the tree lighted or unlighted?

Both are great, but I agree that the lights lit up make it all the more beautiful. It must have taken a long time for them to decorate all the trees. ๐

I agree. I think they must have had a team of people working on them – as well as a few ladders ๐

PS btw the theme is actually words ending in light rather than light itself, but hyphenated ones like Christmas-lights are loved as much by me as the flights, starlights and sunlight ๐

Thank you for this Becky as I was just thinking light ๐

Don’t worry you’re not the only one, and light is a word ending in light! However I am trying to encourage the wider theme, so thank you for being so understanding xx

No problem. It just means that it is more of a challenge – and that is what I love about it. ๐

Fantastic. And remember there’s always delight and highlight if you’re stumped!

What a gorgeous Christmas tree! At one time I would have loved to have a tree that size. Now if I need anything more than a step-stool to reach the top, I’m just not interested. At my age, the last thing neither my husband or I need to be doing is climbing ladders.

The best thing about these huge trees is that you don’t need to do anything except admire them ๐
