This morning I am spending some time at the airport as I wait to board a plane to the Dominican Republic. The morning is grey and gloomy and I am looking forward to sunshine and walking on the beach.

My husband has surprised me with a trip to a place we have not yet visited to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. It is unusual for us to be travelling sans famille but I am sure we soon get used to be on our own.
Have you visited the Dominican Republic?

Side note – don’t drink alcohol bottles from mini bars – and check online for news about people dying from unknown cause after returning from DR – not to alarm u – but check on it

Seems to me that these deaths were caused by pre-existing problems.

maybe – so hard to tell – eh?

It is. Journalists don’t always write the whole story as they want to write a sensational article. It is a pity though as it discourages people from enjoying a place.

yes – but sometimes there are patterns and it could be legit
– and maybe there was something in the water – and folks with preexisting conditions were more vulnerable

I know that media can be sensationalist – but sometimes there are coverups and things get shelved as to not hurt tourism or as to not stir a fear in people –

No worries about the mini-bars – we are not really drinkers.
