Bookstagram: Currently Reading

The best thing about my break is that I can read for many hours a day – especially if a book has captured my imagination and I can’t help turning the pages. My last read was one such read and I completed the book in a day. This morning I started another and, even though it has not hooked me as the previous novel I picked up, I am slowly enjoying it.

The story features Solomon and Ash, two people who have experienced a traumatic event when they were twelve. Ash has lost all memory of the event, and Solomon has retreated further and further into a world of his own creation. The book is written in a two person point of view and interchanges between Solomon’s fantasy world and Ash’s realistic one. So far it is an interesting combination.

  1. Nothing like finding a book that captivates you and won’t let you tear yourself away! I am currently reading a fascinating memoir – of a wild time in entertainment, and a wildly different life now – will be shared on my Bookmobile on August 21! It’s a terrific read!

      1. I don’t want to say because I’m posting my review of it then…not trying to be cryptic just trying to hold off…I will say that I just finished “Unsinkable Mister Brown” by Brian David Bruns, the third in his series of books about working in the cruise ship industry…once I read the fourth and last one I will post that – but they are ALL terrific so far!

    1. It gives the point of view of two people – and in this novel the viewpoints are quite different. It is interesting to figure out what the commonalities are.
