I have been encouraging my friend to read a retelling of Pride and Prejudice: Ayesha at Last by Uzma Jalaluddin. The novel has been written by a Canadian author who lives here in Toronto and showcases a culture that my friend and I do not know too much of.

My friend has begun the novel and would love to discuss it with me. I read the book over a year ago and have forgotten the finer details. Currently I am re-reading this rom-com and tagging it with points I would like to discuss.
Have you re-read a book in order to discuss it with friends?

and obviously ice cream helps you tag!

Most definitely. Especially on hot days like we have been having!

Books and ice cream go together perfectly. I would re-read a book if it was one I enjoyed, but only if it was to discuss the book with a friend. I don’t normally re-read books as there are so many I’ve not read.

I don’t normally re-read a story so soon after I’ve read it the first time. But this is a good story with plenty to discuss.

This looks like a possibility for my book club. Sometimes it is hard to choose a book everyone will like. Although…offering ice cream as the snack may make it a win 🙂
