Staff Appreciation Lunch

Last week Wednesday, the parent council at our school organised the annual staff appreciation lunch. Each year we gather in the library at lunch time and eat the hot lunch that the parents have organised for us. The food is always delicious, and the chats at each table enjoyable. It is not often that the staff as a whole get together to eat. The atmosphere was relaxed in spite of the work waiting for us in the classrooms.

The lunch was definitely something to smile about last week. 🙂

What caused you to smile last week?

  1. We did the same at the schools our sons attended. The parents organizing, preparing the food, and serving had as much fun as the teachers. This was always one time when we could just be friends rather than parent and teacher.
What made me smile? We actually had 2 beautiful sunny days this week instead of the seemingly constant rain.

    1. It is one of the things that create a connection between between the parents and teachers. And I love it!
Oh yes, beautiful, sunny weather always makes me smile. We had a beautiful day yesterday – and today we are paying for it in rain!
