May The Fourth Be With You!

May the Force be with you!

The first Star Wars film I saw was The Return of the Jedi when it first came out in the cinema. I was with my great aunt and we were spending the day together in the city. We decided to see a movie and chose to watch a science fiction story. I loved the film and ever since then was a fan. So much so that I vowed to name my daughter after Princess Leia!

I also enjoyed the Dune saga when it was first published and was lucky enough to find the prequel to the series at the last library book sale I attended. When moving from the Southern Hemisphere to the Northern, I had to leave my book collections behind – one of them being the stories of Dune. Rereading this novel will bring back good memories.

Are you a Stars Wars fan? Do you enjoy reading science fiction?

  1. I shared a few stories today about my interaction with everything “Star Wars” – no matter how big a fan you are, you have to admire those who are lifelong fans – here’s to more good films in the future!

      1. Yes, they made a mistake with “Solo” and have slowed the pipeline down a bit…they assumed fans would rush out to see all of it, and they flooded the market a bit – their focus now is on the new Star Wars area at Disneyland which opens in a few weeks and is going to be MOBBED

          1. They opened a reservations site for the experience to mitigate the huge crowds…and are putting a 4-hour time limit on being inside the area…we have seen the Harry Potter area at Universal Studios and they also have huge crowds just hanging out to absorb it!

  2. I loved the original Star Wars but stopped the movies after three films as they got a bit repetitive for me. But what a brilliant idea it was at the time!
