Do you prefer eating foods with nuts or no nuts?
I am okay with nuts in my food – though I am not too keen on peanut butter. Lately my daughter and I have taken to putting nuts in our salad. The salad is crunchy and more filling – and it is a perfect way to get more protein into our diet (we eat a largely plant-based diet). In addition to the nuts, we add seeds and raisins and/or cranberries.
Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?
The closet doors need to be closed – if they were open it would annoy me so much I wouldn’t be able to sleep! Open closet doors do not seem to worry the other members in our household so I am always closing them – in the bedrooms, in the hallway, in the kitchen.
Are you usually late, early, or right on time?
I abhor being late and, as a result, I often arrive at meetings, workshops, or social events ahead of time. I always factor in unexpected delays in my travel time and leave home before I should so as not to be late. I do not like to rush so I make sure that I have enough time. I have noticed my younger daughter is a lot like me. She will wake up a little earlier, get ready at a leisurely pace, and leave home so that she can be a little earlier than needed at her destination. The rest of the family is “rush, rush, rush” – and they always arrive a little late!
What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?
Yesterday I saw the friend of mine who lives a distance away for one last time before the end of the summer break. I enjoyed the time with her, chatting about things that are happening in our lives and things we would like to do in our futures. We both savoured the time together as we knew it would be a long while until we would see one another again.
What would you answer to any of these questions?

You are the second person I know this year who has said you do not like peanut butter. I have to laugh at myself when anyone says that because my inner reaction is always one of mild shock. I love peanut better sooooooo much — including it in any number of treats — and could literally live on it — so whenever anyone says he doesn’t like it, it’s hard for me to process that negative reaction to it. I enjoy nuts in salad as well — and raisins, cranberries, chopped apples, etc.

Maybe I had too much as a child on my sandwiches – I dislike the texture and the way it sticks to the roof of my mouth. Having said that, when I was breast feeding all I wanted to eat was crunch peanut butter smeared on hot toast! 🙂

I loved your answers, Colline. I don’t leave cupboard doors open as it gives me the creeps. I have always been scared of ghosts in the cupboard. I am always in a rush a always late. The reason for this is I take on far to much and over commit so I am always chasing my tail.

Time you begin to say no to some things Robbie. Trying to please everyone can be stressful – as well as make you late 🙂

An array of diverse questions there Colline, as for nuts my choice is Kingaroy roasted peanuts from North Australia. As for peanut butter yes as a child, but the best of breakfast spreads on toast has to be Australian Vegemite, have you tasted it Colline ???

I put sunflower seeds in my salad to get that crunch. It’s a good sound!

I agree. And it gives even more pleasure to eating leafy greens 🙂

I like nuts in my salad or dessert but not in main dishes. Had Pad Tai for the first time recently and hated it. Two of my grandchildren are allergic to nuts, peanuts and a host of other things so we don’t eat nuts when they are around. Closet doors have to be shut. I am always going around to shut them especially before I go to bed. It’s a quirk of mine. I am usually on time when I go somewhere. Spending time taking care of my youngest grandson this week made me smile. He is so sweet. Seeing a couple of friends at a get together was nice this week, and.I am thankful today that I got to work on my WIP while my husband went golfing and had the house to myself. Ahh! It was a busy yet productive week for which I am thankful, Enjoyed your post and questions. Did I pass?
