What was or is your favorite cartoon?
When growing up, I used to love watching the Mickey Mouse cartoons – especially the ones featuring Goofy. The reason may be that I had been nicknamed Goofy by my mom because I was as clumsy as he was portrayed to be. I have never minded my nickname – I accepted my clumsiness and I liked this Disney character. Thankfully I have grown out of my clumsiness. I am still called ‘Goof” by a select few – and, yes, I do answer to the name 🙂
Now I love any Disney animation. The Lion King. Brave. Aladdin. Not only do I enjoy the storyline, but I admire the time taken and technique used to create such magical films.
Which cooking utensil (other than the usual pots and pans etc) would you miss the most?
The cooking utensil I find most useful is the rice cooker. I am able to cook rice without it – but it is so much easier to use this tool! I measure the rice, wash it, add the required amount of water, and then switch it on. The rice comes out perfectly every time – and I do not need to watch it.
Would you dare to sleep in haunted house overnight?
A haunted house? Not if it is like the houses portrayed in horror films. My heart would not be able to take it! If, however, the ghost does not harm people I might consider it. But it may take a bit of convincing!
What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?
I appreciated the long weekend that we just had. School was out for 4 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday). I enjoyed the extra time off and had the opportunity to read and relax. I am now ready to move forward with the upcoming lessons, deadlines, and activities with my students.
What would you answer to any of these questions?

I loved cartoons as a kid as I was fortunate to watch those from the Golden Age of Cartoons. Warner Brothers had many classic characters, plus I enjoyed the old Popeye cartoons. Heck, I even did a series of 71 classic cartoon posts called Saturday Morning Cartoons. https://afrankangle.wordpress.com/category/entertainment/classic-cartoons-entertainment/

I remember reading some of those posts Frank – brought back some good memories. Though in South Africa we did not see them on TV but instead on the ‘big screen’.

Interesting. As a kid, we had them on both screens.

We got TV very late in South Africa – in January of 1976. We were one of the first families to have one at home because of the company my dad worked for (he worked at the factory that built them). In the beginning, we had only a couple of hours of programming in the evening. You might find this article to be of interest: https://lowvelder.co.za/239861/history-television-sa/

I’d love to answer those questions! Fun! Here are the A’s to your Q’s:
My fave cartoon: Team Oomi Zoomie and Bubble Guppies (watched those with our boys)
Cooking utensil I need: Casserole dish. I’m a fan of throwing a lot of rice/noodles/meat/veggies together and bake away.
Sleep in a haunted house? Sure why not. I’d like to see how it “feels.” But i’d like company with a friend/my spouse.
What do a I appreciate/smile maker? I appreciate our warm FL climate. I smiled when doing the zip line with our kids over the weekend.

Loved reading your answers – thank you for sharing.
My girls want to do a zip line. Me, I am a bit nervous about it. It must be a wonderful experience feeling the rush of air on your face and seeing the aerial view.
Now your casserole idea sounds intriguing …

I love it! Makes cooking dinner so much easier as we eat rice nearly every night.

My favourite cartoon character was Bugs Bunny. He was bold and confident, and funny. All things that I wasn’t but wished I was. The character that sometimes people called me was Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, because I am bouncy and enthusiastic with a big smile and not much awareness of how others are reacting to me. I am clumsy too, but haven’t grown out of it. I Enjoyed your post.

I love Tigger – and he was one of my daughter’s favourite characters when she was a toddler. I think she liked his happy attitude and bounciness 🙂
