There are no longer many places that you can buy CDs – and none in Toronto where you can buy French music. I love browsing on Amazon and came across a French singer, Stromae, that I had been introduced to a couple of years ago. I enjoy his music and have a number of his songs on my YouTube playlist. I do not always have access to the wifi, however, and have wanted to buy a copy of one of his albums for a while now.
My daughter needed a new pair of earphones (the brand she liked was available on Amazon) and I took the opportunity to buy one of the things on my wishlist. I made the decision to buy both of his albums as I couldn’t decide which one to buy first. The shipment arrived a few days later and I opened it in excitement. Last weekend I listened to the music while doing my chores – and I loved it!
This week I am grateful to Amazon and the French music CDs they have on offer.

Although he sings in French, the man is actually Belgian. He comes from Brussels and speaks Dutch as well. At the moment he is taking a break from music.

I realized that he was taking a break as it has been a while since he has produced any music. I hope that he does make more music. I LOVE his album “Racine Carrée’’.
