This year I have decided to join the #50BookPledge led by The Savvy Reader. Not only will I be documenting the books I have read, but I will also have the opportunity to read other readers’ book reviews and participate in competitions. I have participated in book pledges before on Goodreads, and I am interested to see how different this smaller community is to the larger and more well-known one.
I will be tracking my reading in both communities, posting short reviews on my favourite books, as well as posting reviews on my blog. I enjoy reading and know from past documentation that I read more than 50 books a year. This year I pledge to read 75 books – and keep track of them.
If you have pledged to read on either of these communities, look out for me. My profile name is Colline Vinay Kook-Chun. If you follow me, I will be sure to follow you back.
Will you pledge to read 50 books during 2018?

Wow..I can barely get through a magazine these days let alone 50 books. I’m in awe! However, I did vow to carve time into my schedule to read more novels. The problem is that when I sit down on the sofa to do so…I fall asleep! Solution: go to local coffee shop to read. If I fall asleep there, there’s no hope for me! lol!

I am a certified bookworm Chrissie and some of my ‘me’ time over the weekend is spent reading on the sofa before my family wakes up. There are moments when I read more than others, but I cannot not have a book to read! Maybe my thoughts on the books I have read may help you find one that prevents you from falling asleep π

I have a 50 Books Project on my blog, and I don’t think I’ve ever managed to make it to 50. I have fun trying, though. π I’m going to check this out. Perhaps I’ll be more motivated if I’m part of a group. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I am always motivated to read. Myself, I need motivation to keep track of what I have read π

I worded that poorly. I’m always motivated to read, too, because I love reading and books. I gave up on Goodreads because I had a terrible time keeping track there and on my blog, but I had a look at this smaller group and I like it. I took the pledge. We’ll see how it goes. π

I think the smaller group would be better too. I hope you enjoy it. What is your last name so I can follow you and see what you are reading.

I have read over 300 books last two yeard. I have signed up to read 300 this year. A couple years ago my resolution was write a review on every book I read, mainly to give myself something to do. I am still writing review on the books I read .

My health and age allows me the time to read. You can go and do things from reading.

I swore I wasn’t going to take on any more book challenges, but… since I’ve already set a Goodreads goal of 75 books, what harm could it be to join a challenge to read 50? π I’ll check into this one – Good luck to you!!

Thank you. I will be documenting in both communities to see which one I prefer.

I admire your reading enthusiasm Colline, a great challenge, I love reading but over the years my attention span on the written words has started to fail me.
Wish you well on your efforts Colline and look forward to your results. I have in the past, got links to some of your recommendations from the local library.
Cheers.

Good to know that my reviews have helped in your book choice Ian. It gives me encouragement to continue posting my thoughts on the books that I have read.
