This year I have a class clown who takes his job seriously. His mission is to make the class laugh – and make Madame smile! This he does often (though sometimes I have to smile inwardly).
When I set out the Halloween decorations in the class, he focused on one that is perched on the top of a cupboard.
“Madame, can I take that one home?” he asked with a serious expression on his face. “That is my mom. She cannot stay here!” Of course the entire classroom rang with laughter. And now this monster is called ‘Jacob’s mom’. He still wants to take his ‘mom’ home. But has instead brought in a Frankenstein to decorate our room.
Soon my monster will be placed in a box until next year. But I will always think of the comedian in my class who likened it to his mother.
What made you smile this week?
