Weekend Coffee Share: A PA Day

weekend coffee share logo hosted at parttimemonsterblog.comGood morning! If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I cannot believe that it is October already! The past month seems to have flown by. The first month of school is always hectic as the days are filled with preparing things for the year, and with meeting deadlines.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that yesterday was a PA day – which means that the children were not at school. The morning was spent in a staff meeting learning about the updated policy of the school board that I work for, as well as working on our School Improvement Plan. The afternoon was meant for compliance training which is done online. As usual, the system could not handle all of the people accessing it. The result? I have to do it in my own time. The afternoon was not wasted, however, as I am now up to date with my assessment and the filing of my students’ work.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that the temperatures have dropped a little but not too much. It is still warm enough to wear short sleeves during the day. I enjoy the cooler weather and the sight of the leaves beginning to change colour on the trees.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that this weekend is our Thanksgiving weekend. Soon I will go out and do my shopping for Thanksgiving dinner. I always enjoy the meal that I have with my family. My daughter this year wants to bake biscuits (cookies). I had better make sure that I have all the ingredients in my cupboards!

If we were having coffee, I would wish you a wonderful weekend. And if you are Canadian, a wonderful Thanksgiving.

What would you tell me if we were having coffee?
