Grateful for a Ride

I enjoy going to teacher workshops. I often learn something new – or have my knowledge refreshed. I meet other teachers and we chat about what is happening in our classrooms. My attendance at these gatherings is always determined by whether I am able to get there using public transport. And if the session is half-day or after school, I know that I may be late as I depend on the timely arrival of the bus.

Yesterday after school, I had to leave on time to attend a session on writing. My intention was to leave as soon as I could in order to arrive as close to the starting time of the workshop as I could manage. Unexpectedly I learned that someone at my school was also attending – and she offered me a ride in her car.

This week I am grateful to those people who have, on occasion, saved me time by offering me a seat in their vechicle. Yesterday afternoon I was saved the stress of leaving on time to catch the train, then the bus. In addition, the ride to my home afterwards enabled me to cook dinner for my family earlier than I had expected.

What have you been grateful for this week?

Last week:

Oba was grateful for brick walls

Lavendar Ladi was grateful for $8 caulifower

Ruth was grateful for the de-icing crew

I enjoy reading what others are grateful for – the posts make me think of other things I am happy to have in my life. Please remember to send me a pingback so that I know you have participated.
