Winter has been slow in coming with the result that our surroundings are brown, gey and dull instead of being blanketed in snow. Yesterday I woke up to snow on the ground and, as I stepped outside, was greeted with the sight of gently falling snow.
The school playground was a treat for the children as they frolicked and enjoyed the soft, white covering on the playground.
At the moment my class and I are discussing water: the water cycle and the different states of water. With the falling snow, I took the opportunity to go outside with my students and not only enjoy the beautiful weather, but also collect snow and ice to bring into the classroom. The children made some observations about the changes they saw.
This week I am grateful for the snow. Not only for its beauty but also for the opportunity to take my class outside for a little while.
What have you been grateful for this week?
Lavendar Ladi was grateful for lots of hugs and being away.
