It’s Friday! The last day of the working week. As I get ready for this day, I look forward to the weekend when I can sleep in. Like my children, I feel that the the weekend is a time to celebrate with rest, a little relaxation, longer dinner conversations and family time. I know that the major part of my weekend will be filled with lesson preparation but it will be time well spent. Celebrations will begin this afternoon when I step in through the door to our home. I will not need to sit down at my laptop and write assessments on the day. I will not need to make flash cards, or even read through the book I have chosen for the read aloud. Instead I will make a cup of tea, put my feet up, and watch an episode of “Big Bang Theory”.
Yes, it is Friday. And I welcome it with open arms!
How will you celebrate the end of the week?
