It’s Friday!

It’s Friday! The last day of the working week. As I get ready for this day, I look forward to the weekend when I can sleep in. Like my children, I feel that the the weekend is a time to celebrate with rest, a little relaxation, longer dinner conversations and family time. I know that the major part of my weekend will be filled with lesson preparation but it will be time well spent. Celebrations will begin this afternoon when I step in through the door to our home. I will not need to sit down at my laptop and write assessments on the day. I will not need to make flash cards, or even read through the book I have chosen for the read aloud. Instead I will make a cup of tea, put my feet up, and watch an episode of “Big Bang Theory”.

Yes, it is Friday. And I welcome it with open arms!

  1. Amen! I love that end-of-work-week feeling of a Friday. Not sure about sleeping in since we have a toddler, but Friday is definitely a reason to celebrate. I’m so glad to be your neighbor for FMF today!

  2. I can relate. Fridays are like a celebration. I love my job but my week is so exhausting working with infants that I definitely welcome the weekend….to sleep in, to blog, go for nature walks, listen to music, and take my time cooking a nice dinner.

    Enjoy your weekend! 🙂

  3. It’s my Sunday evening now. I hope you enjoyed the weekend and had some lovely relaxing and family times interspersed with some preparation. It’s important to make sure the preparation doesn’t take over! Have a great week!
