Miners Hill

The only residents remaining in the small town of Miners Hill are spirits. Nestling on the side of the hill, the ghost town served as a reminder of how people could turn against one another. Curious passersby quickly sensed unease when they stepped within the town’s boundaries – and those who did not leave quickly, soon never left at all. A malignant force had been unleashed a decade ago when an abandoned shaft was discovered. Too late, the miners discovered why it had been abandoned; too late they realised how the force could be captured and enclosesd once again. Now the malignant being was getting hungry and was no longer satisfied with the less frequent visitors to the silent and forlorn town. Somehow it had to broaden its horizons.

  1. This sounds like the start to a bigger story. I’d love to see how the malevolent force expands and what steps the poor unfortunates in its path take to stop it.
