The crew of the Angel Flame received orders to head out. They had heard that time was running out – the distress signal had been heard 25 hours ago! So often people’s pride got in the way of what needed to be done. The powers that be had known the crew were available but they wanted to appear to be all knowing, all powerful. At the cost of the young girls’ lives. Hopefully it would not be too late to save them. Stealth was their secret: the men manning the boat would not see them coming from under the water. Nor would they see the submarine crew board their ship.

Oh, I love the mystery here – what exactly happened to the girls’ boat, who are the men? Fingers crossed the Angel Flame was called in time… Nicely done!

I hope the mission is successful. Watchful waiting is not always the best way to deal with situations. Nice feel of tension in the story.

I agree – sometimes you have to get in and do something even if the action turns out to be a mistake.

I hope they make it in time. It’s just typical of the higher-ups to delay calling them out.

Sometimes we need to think of the good of others in order to let go of our pride. A leader invested in her community would do this I think.
