The Changing Seasons: March 2015

Cardinal Guzman challenged bloggers at the beginning of the year to posts pictures of the same location every month. Even though I was not blogging during March, I did remember to take some pictures of what my local park looks like when the snow meltdown occurs.

I took these pictures in the third week of march. The days were warmer than they had been for a long time and we were beginning to look forward to spring. In the afternoon as I approached the park, all I saw were puddles of water and plenty of mud.

As expected, there were no children playing in the park on their way home from school – they would have to wait until the sun had dried up the ground a little.

  1. I had to chuckle. Your pictures of puddles reminded me of when my youngest was about 2 1/2. It was a warm day in late spring and it had rained all night. I dressed my little one in a pale blue pair of shorts and shirt. We had to make a stop at my middle son’s school, and as we walked into the school building, we passed a large puddle in a low spot on the walkway. I said to my little guy, ” don’t step in that.” He looked up at me with a huge grin on his face and plopped down on his bottom in the muddy puddle. The principal and all of the office personnel were watching from the windows and started cheering him on. I’m not sure I ever got all the mud out of his shoes and clothes.

      1. thanks for the invite – even though I am kind of up to my eyeballs in challenges right now – ha! and actually I am in the process of combining two right now – I almost combined it with a third but thought enough is enough… (and it was not flowing) but thx again and I will keep it in mind for later this year – but I also love seeing what folks do – the changes are just cool.
