Last week the temperature began to plummet leading to indoor recess at the schools. We were thankful for the long weekend as that meant we could stay indoors and avoid going out. On Saturday, the cold eased away a little giving the false hope that temperatures were on the rise. However, Sunday was frigid: the thermometer dropped to -41c with the wind chill. Our windows froze shut and frost played gleefully on our windows.

It is still cold outside and I am grateful as soon as I step indoors. I am thankful that I have a shelter that keeps me warm, and for the electricity that keeps the warmth in our home.
What have you been grateful for this week?

I enjoy reading what others are grateful for – the posts make me think of other things I am happy to have in my life. Please remember to send me a pingback so that I know you have participated.
I am thankful for not having to push 3 babies in a stroller through snow and slush. We have to take them out unless it is below -15 degrees. Not my idea of fun or theirs either….
Keep warm! 🙂

Nor mine. I remember pushing mine through the mess of winter – never a pleasant task!

Today it’s pouring with rain here, so I’m also grateful to be indoors. When I see how brutal the winter weather is further north, I really feel for those homeless folk who have no shelter.

I do too. It is defintitely more of a challenge for them – especially when many shelters have been closed down due to lack of funds.

Oh my goodness, that photo gives me goosebumps! Brrrr! I’m thankful for so many things but this week it has to be my husband who’s just been the most perfect travelling companion.

You’re the second person this week who reminds me to be grateful for the things I have. I am grateful for my family, good health and friends.

Those three things make our lives happy, I believe. They are also on my list of things to be grateful for.

I am always grateful for my mobile legs Christy – especially when I see people struggling to move or walk.

Chilly Colline – Hope you are able to keep warm… it must be hard to teach when it’s your teeth that are chattering rather than the children 😉 Love that frosty photo! I’ve been grateful for two gloriously sunny days in central London – warm in the sun and cold in the shade – post to follow soon 🙂

We are not frosty inside, luckily, as the furnace is working well at the school. I do miss taking them outside to play though as being outdoors always does them good.

I am grateful that we got some snow, about 8 inches. I was beginning to think we were going to miss all that glorious beauty this year.

We were lucky enough to have some snowfall the beginning of February – and we are still getting some, though not as much as last year.

The photo is beautiful! But I know that beauty is caused by severe discomfort when outside. Stay warm!
