They had been a family then: close-knit, caring, full of love and hope. And now …. Silent tears ran down her face as she remembered her beloved husband. Her heart ached for him; and for the twins who had left in anger and with the arrogance of youth. But maybe they would come home now for soon she would leave this world. Surely they wished to say goodbye?
