On Saturday our lecturer took us on an outing to a branch of the university library. Snow had fallen the previous day and the landscape was covered in white.
The winter scenes looked beautiful and very tranquil. The air was silent as we did not hear the sounds of traffic, nor the sounds of people.
The gardens, which are littered with students enjoying the sun during the spring and summer, were covered in a layer of white.
The stark whiteness of the landscape looked beautiful – its tranquillity adding to the serenity of the place.
The lowering sun lengthened the shadows and brought to the place an added depth. Even though there was a chill in the air, I enjoyed walking a little on the campus grounds.
Do you enjoy looking at white landscapes?
