A Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

I am writing to you today in the hopes that I am not on your naughty list. This year I have tried my best to be supportive of others, to lend a hand when it is needed, to give freely of my time. I do admit that it has not always been easy to do – especially when hounded by deadlines and various commitments. However my actions during the past year have been guided by my desire to be the best person that I can be.

My wish for Christmas this year, Santa, is simple. I wish for the health of myself and my loved ones. When in health, we are able to do many things: exercise, explore, enjoy the simple things in life. A daily act such as walking is pain-free when healthy. In addition, working for a living is not too difficult when one is mobile and able to think clearly.

I thank you in advance for granting my wish. I look forward to the time when you fly over my home and bring to me and my family a special gift.

Merry Christmas,

  1. Hi, Colline!
My wish for Santa this year? A job for my husband. He recently resigned from his previous job in order to be with me and our daughter. It was a big sacrifice and we keep praying for a new job for him. We’re still waiting, and still hopeful. (After all, I’ve never been naughty so I hope Santa will consider this.) 🙂

  2. What a sweet and meaningful letter to Santa. I am sure you will get what you want. You can always ask again next year if you need too. I am asking for health and prosperity for my children and a new skillet for my husband. He loves this old skillet I think we got for wedding gift. 🙂 He does most of the cooking so maybe I better ask for something else for him. 🙂

  4. I’m hoping for my nice new hip so that I can get back to walking around the Cornish coastline again and can pick up the Grandbabies safely. I too, wish for good health for all those I love.
All the very best to you for a happy time and for what you wish 🙂

  6. Had to come back and leave a comment because we were just falling about how Christmas is too often about “stuff” for folks these days – more and more stuff – and well – you nailed it with the health angle – because if we don’t have health – we have nothing. 🙂 Gifts are fun – and stuff has value – but I agree also that as we mature and age the material stuff is just lower on the list – if on the list at all for some….
hope you have a nice rest of your weekend
