Grateful for Warm Clothing

During the last week we have experienced temperatures that plummeted to -16C, icy Arctic winds and snowfall. Autumn took a back seat for a while during the time that Old Man Winter showed his face. As I walked outside or while I watched my class at play, I was grateful for the winter gear that I have bought in the past: my down-filled coat that reaches to mid-calf, my long boots that are lined with animal fur, my warm scarf and hat. Wearing these items of clothing makes it a little easier to bear the cold and I feel that the money I spent buying them was a good investment. Thankfully the ice-cold temperatures have eased a little but the next time they plummet, I will be ready.

Thank you for last week’s contributions. I enjoy reading what others are grateful for – the posts make me think of other things I am happy to have in my life. Please remember to send me a pingback so that I know you have participated.

Gratitude Sunday – What are you grateful for this week?

  1. I am grateful for my children and my grandchildren more than anything else I could ever imagine. The mere fact that they are all healthy is all a person can really ask for, in my book. Everything else can be bought, or isn’t needed to begin with. But good health? Everyone should be so blessed.

    1. There is a certain beauty living in the colder temperatures. I have grown to love the beautiful scenes that snow brings.
Happy Thanksgiving to you Colleen. I wish you a wonderful day with your family.
