As I was walking my daughter to her swimming lesson yesterday, she pointed out the light rimming some of the heavy grey clouds in sky. She liked the contrast between the blue sky, the bright edging and the dark-filled clouds.

I liked the way the buildings, trees and lampposts seemed to frame the unusual skies. We enjoyed the scene for a little while until we turned left and our view of the skies changed a little.
Do you look at the skies when you walk about in the early evening?

They do don’t they? I was certain we would have more rain later. I guess we did as it has been raining the whole day today.

Yes I do, I love that your young daughter does too, my teenage son only thinks about Facebook at the min, so that is very refreshing. π

I recently said to her she can join Facebook if she wishes (I felt she was too young before). She has shown no interest in joining yet. Lucky for me π

I find myself looking up at the sky a lot, especially when there’s dark, dramatic, cloudy sunsets such as this one! Awesome!

I like it too π Wonderful contrasts and unusual framing which catches my eye. It’s lovely how the winding lamp poles seem to hug the sky like tree branches.

I deliberately tried to frame the skies with silhouettes Paula. I must say that I was pleased with the effect.
