Grateful for the Changing Colours

Summer is at its end and we move forward into the cooler months. One of the things I have learnt to appreciate in the northern hemisphere is the beauty of the season. The leaves on the trees begin to change and the views are a pleasure to see.

I love the way the leaves cover the lawn and the pavements (sidewalks). My children have enjoyed walking on them to listen to the crunching sound that the dry leaves make.

The reds of the Maple trees are always a stunning view to behold.

The cooling weather is forgotten for a while as the beauty of the season surrounds us. I am grateful that I have had an opportunity to see this as these changes are not so evident in the southern hemisphere.

Thank you for last week’s contributions. I enjoy reading what others are grateful for – the posts make me think of other things I am happy to have in my life.

  1. As you know Colline, I am always grateful for nature. The change of season brings us something new, the colours are lovely. Your photos represent this beautifully, yet somehow I find I am missing those lovely flowers, bees and butterflies. No doubt I will appreciate them even more when they’re back with us. 🙂
