Each time we stand at the beginning of a new experience, we ready ourselves for something new. We talk to ourselves in our heads, making the argument that we will do okay. We convince ourselves we are ready and often look to others to be our cheerleaders. We stand at the beginning, trembling with excitement and sometimes anxiety,
The gun goes off and we begin.
We put our all into it, doing our best. Sometimes we thrill in the adventure; at times we are disappointed. We finish the race, the experience, and think back on it with either relief, regret or a smile of happiness.
And then ready ourselves for another. We stand once again at the beginning of a new start and listen for the words: Ready, Set, Go!
What experience are you currently getting ready for?

I cheerlead myself in my head. My newest project, water aerobics. It’s fun but easy to overdo and be sore.

Sounds like fun. I have never done water aerobics but have often watched others doing this exercise in the water.

It’s so true. In playing with my granddaughters, she always wants me to count for her & her sister to run. We truly do always hear the count in our heads 🙂 I am ready for a rest. This week was busy & I am looking forward to just relaxing. Enjoyed being your neighbor this morning at FMF. Blessings!

Ideally, we would challenge ourselves on a daily basis, small challenges demanding either physically or mentally. I am not getting ready yet, but I have started thinking more about my health, and physical well-being. The stress has tried to teach me that I first must think of my health. So my goal would be to take care of what is the most important so that I am able to take more risks in my life once it is recovered. I hope I was clear enough 😉 Short and sweet article, Colline 🙂

So often we forget about ourselves. We need to remember to do so as our bosses – who demand so much from us – will not do so. This is the perfect goal Paula and I wish you the best in achieving it.
