Grateful for Warm Days

Putting my feet up on the couch yesterday, I noticed the tan lines caused by the sun and my comfy sandals. The tan lines are not the most beautiful: they are too easily noticed when I am barefoot, or when I am wearing shoes that do not strap over my foot.

I am grateful for the lines, however, as they show that we are experiencing warm days. I am thankful for the sunny days – the days that allow me to walk outside in sandals and bare my skin to the sun. I am soaking in the warmth and storing it for the cold winter days that are sure to come.

    1. I am not a fan of humidity with Alex – and I am extremely grateful that we haven’t had many days like that this summer. Instead we are experiencing a mild one but I don’t mind as it is more bearable than summers past 🙂

  1. What a lovely thing to be grateful for. Yes, when winter comes those lovely tanlines will disappear. Great photo Colline. I see that beautiful bedspread of yours are in the background. Oh, I so love it! 😀

    1. Reminds me of when I was younger and walked barefoot in the garden. Now I have to wear shoes when I am out as I live in the city and sidewalks can get very hot during the summer 😦

  2. Hi Colline, Well, I am grateful for many things but the one I am right now is morning. As this tells you the beginning of a new day and journey and all the past have emitted last night. Its time for working more harder than the last one. I love mornings!! 😀

  3. My feet resemble yours. Ha! I am in my sandals daily. Unlike you, I’m looking forward to the coolness of Fall and Winter. Hard to handle the heat and humidity of these Mississippi summers. Though I will miss watermelon, juicy peaches and high acid tomatoes. 😉

    1. Luckily for me schools are on vacation during the summer giving me plenty of opportunity to be out in the sun.
I love the way you have presented your gratitude this week Amanda.
