Apologies

The days seem to be not long enough

To fit in all that I need to do:

Teaching, report cards;

Being a mom and wife;

Shopping and household chores.

The end of the day comes and,

Exhausted,

I lay my head on my pillow

without having blogged.

The lack of blogging communication

In my current days

Saddens me.

Yet I know that soon I will be able

To blog again.

Thank you for your patience my friends.

Soon the time will come when you will see

My avatar on your space.

Until then,

Enjoy the rest of your day.

  1. I too have been struggling to blog. I have only recently posted a few after what seems like months. It was nice to see that I had not been abandoned by my favorite bloggers. And I of course will be here to read your blogs when you have some more time. Take care x

  2. I know what you mean Colline! May and June are especially hectic for me this year. I finally wrote and posted something last night. The urge to write is overwhelming-like an itch I cannot scratch! Good to hear from you. πŸ™‚

    1. After these two months we definitely need the break πŸ™‚
      And I feel the same way as you – and I keep thinking that soon I will be able to scratch! πŸ™‚

  3. We are still here anyway. πŸ™‚ Life does happen – we understand each other’s absence from the blog. I hope things are looking up – school’s just about to be done. πŸ™‚

  4. Why apologies? Take it easy and of what you can. I see you when you are up for it! Looking forward for your avatar! No need for apologies! Be kind and gentle and things will work out! Have the life you want!

  5. I know exactly where you’re coming from. I”m also a teacher and there are days that just aren’t long enough. I’ve been avoiding my report cards and they’re due tomorrow. There are so many other things that I’d rather do, like paint (not my house). Anyway I haven’t completely ignored my teaching duties and I’m just about ready to tackle those report card comments on this computer. At least all the marks are entered.

  6. Love your poem. Sometimes you have to choose to take that break and sometimes circumstances force it. I stopped completely when my sister was diagnosed with cancer in the summer of 2012, and I made many trips back to the UK. I restarted again this spring after she died in January. It’s funny how we feel we’re kind of letting our blogging community down when we have a break – and will they be there when we come back?! Glad to see you back. πŸ™‚
