Last Saturday I put on my shoes with eagerness. The weather was warmer and I was hoping that this week I would see some flowers.

I was not disappointed. In some gardens the tulips had opened.

And along some rockeries, small flowers were showing their colour.

The budding tree we had walked past the week before had blossomed and we could not help but stop to take some pictures.

I loved seeing the beauty of these flowers and could not resist taking a closer look.

We came across some red tulips that had opened to show their beauty.

I enjoyed especially the little flowers found amongst the greenery.

On my walk yesterday I noticed new flowers had been planted in the beds I pass each day – these will be stunning once they have spread out by summertime.

As I am getting ready to go out today, I am hoping that I see even more flowers that have opened. What a beautiful sight they are after the long, icy winter we have had.
What do you see on your current walks?

I am not too sure Paula. We walk past this tree every Saturday on the way to the library so I will see what grows on it.
Thanks for the compliment on the haircut – I felt I needed something springlike 🙂

Thank you Paula. When I left the hairdresser I felt she cut it a bit too short at the back – but it will grow 🙂

I second Paula on the haircut, and I can’t possibly answer your question, Colline! You’d have no incentive to read my Monday walks then, would you? (or even join in 🙂 )

I was trying to remember which day you posted your walks. I think I should take my camera now and go on another so I can join in 🙂

Sorry Colline- I’ve been offline watching the tennis in Rome, then a bath 🙂 It’s a Monday walk but you can post any day. I usually link it up to the following week in that case, to even things out. Happy walking!

I love the new header and the new hair. You look like spring — a change of the seasons, a change of the “look.” The photos are spectacular — you walk in a very beautiful place.
My walks take me by plantings of spring bulbs and flowering trees
My favourite is the tiny viola/violets that grow in crevices and cracks, through mulch and rocks, (there is now one at the back corner on the house that grew up through the rocks) in suburban lawns and nature preserves. I wish my camera worked so I could share them.
I look forward to pictures of your next walk!
