An Autumnal Sunset

A few weeks ago I was doing some chores when I got home. While busy, I happened to look out the window and saw a beautiful sky. The combination of pinks and blues caused me to quickly reach for my camera and snap this picture.

It is not often I notice the sunset while inside my apartment building. This one was certainly a little different to stop me in my tracks.

Do you often see the setting sun light the sky in pinks?

  1. Thank you for reaching for it. You have no idea how many times I found myself in the same situation… the view from my flat is clouded by a tall skyscraper belonging to a 4-star hotel, and two towers of a thermal plant, and still when I see colours splashed in the sky I reach for it. This is gorgeous, and makes me see the light. Thank you, Colline πŸ™‚

    1. You are so welcome Paula. The sky caused me to stop because for 10 years all I have noticed through these windows are the skyscrapers. When I saw this particular view I knew I wanted to share it with you on a Thursday. Makes it extra special now I know you, too, have an uninspiring view πŸ™‚

    1. Me too Nia. There have been times when my girls and I have seen a pinkening sky when walking home from Taekwondo. It was the first time, though, that I had noticed one from our apartment.

  2. We have had beautiful gorgeous sunset and sunrise views, but most of the time the view is either covered partially by trees or buildings… This is a beautiful sunset picture!

    1. I am wondering what caused the pink colour as this city is definitely polluted. We often have smoggy days when it is difficult to see in front of you in the mornings.
