Twilight in Toronto

One of the bloggers I have connected with, Belinda at Busy Mind Thinking, is not always able to go outside due to her illness. She has asked bloggers to show her where we are in this beautiful world of ours. I know she loves sunsets so when I experienced the twilight hour over the weekend, I thought of her. I have never seen the sun setting in the middle of the city where I live, but I have seen the darkening sky and the skyscrapers begin to light up.

What is especially noticeable in the city of Toronto is the illumination of the CN tower. Its lights often peek from behind buildings.

Sometimes we get the chance to see the tower light up in its full glory.

The surrounding buildings are silhouetted against the sky, but the CN tower stands bright and tall against the darkening sky.

I still live in hope of one day seeing the sun set between the buildings. But for now I am content to see a city landmark light up.

Have you seen the setting sun in the middle of a city?

  1. A twilight and a story and sharing it with a blogger friend, Belinda (in this instant, and me). This is so heart-warming. I’ve seen a lot of good things happened when two people are positively connected. Thanks for sharing this one.

    1. I am glad that you enjoyed it Maxim. I thought of sharing this view with Belinda as there are times when she is house-bound and desires to see a little of the outside world 🙂

      1. Glad to hear that Colline and thanks for the compliment. Maybe one day I will see myself as a photographer. Now I am just a hobbyist..hehehe. I still learn something new every time I use my camera. 😀 *hugs*

  2. Brings back memories of Toronto at Harbourfront area. Also Vancouver BC where I have been ..:)

While here in the prairies, it’s a different view over rising grassland foothills at dusk.
