View of a Lake

Last weekend we had the opportunity to spend the afternoon lakeside. I have already shared with you the pictures I took of the amazing sunset (here). What made me happy too, though, was spending time just looking at the wide expanse of water and the beautiful greenery that surrounds it.

The wide expanse of water soothed my soul: a soul that is daily surrounded by the man-made skyscrapers of a city.

There were some people on the lake enjoying its serenity and tranquillity.

We took a slow boat ride on the water and admired the shoreline and nature’s beauty.

The shoreline looked rugged – especially where there were no docks signalling human habitation.

I enjoyed the boat ride and my afternoon at a place I found invigorating.

I hope that my family and I can visit this spot another day. We enjoyed our time there and created some beautiful memories.

Do you enjoy visiting a lake?

    1. Thank you so much Nia. We had such a beautiful day. I loved the boat ride because I saw beautiful scenery – and I had the wind blowing in my hair 🙂

  1. I’m honoured to have encouraged this beautiful post, Coline. I must say that the place is gorgeous and your smile so happy and warm 😀 Quite understandable .. you know something … I am very much like you once I replace concrete with glistening lake surfaces and dark green forests 🙂

    1. This is the way we should all be living Paula. I don’t think we were made to be surrounded by cement and the noise of machines. I know that every time I am away from it, I am happy 🙂
I look forward to seeing what others come up with in your non-challenge 🙂

  2. When I visit Michigan, we’re on the shore of Lake Huron, a huge fresh water lake. Just love spending as much time as possible on the beach there. Completely relaxing.

  3. Oh wow! That is such a stunning shot of you Colline. You are such a beautiful lady…inside and out and what a gorgeous smile! Great shots of a lovely place too. Thanks for sharing hon. 😀 *hugs*

          1. Yep, but here they know very well if they do have the camera it doesn’t include photo’s of me..hehehehe. If I was as beautiful as you now that would be another case. 😀

  4. I was working through a few of your posts…I have much catching up to do. I happened on your smiling face and I absolutely have to say the first thing that came into my head – WARMTH! Do you realize what warmth there is in your expression and eyes, your smile? I felt it so strongly I had to message. I look forward to reading some more as health permits.
