Weekly Photo Challenge: Arranged

We went to visit the candle factory in Swaziland and browsed through the gift shop. I enjoyed looking at the creations they had to offer. Neatly arranged, the curios were not only creative but also colourful. We could not resist buying a few souvenirs to take home with us!

  2. Very colorful photograph Colline! I love markets because they are so colorful and interesting. I would have been able to resist buying anything…I’m not much of a shopper, but I don’t think I would have been able to resist snapping a few photographs. To me, those are the best souvenirs!

    1. I took many! However they had the people in that I came with and did not feel comfortable posting those. What I enjoy in Swaziland is that there is no-one who prevents you from snapping away in the stores.

    1. A curio shop is the little shop where they sell souvenirs. This particular one was the little shop next to the candle factory in Swaziland. They make and sell these beaqutiful candles with African designs on them (which I never burn). Recently they started selling pottery as well.

      1. Oh OK, I know what you mean it is always hard to burn something that is beautiful, even though you are meant to, how can you destroy a thing of beauty. Doesn’t seem right.

  3. Lovely china. No, I would not have been able to resist bringing some home either. And how nice that no one seems to mind when one snaps photos in the shops! I find plenty of wonderful things to photograph inside interiors as well as out of doors.

  4. Nice pic Colline! I agree with Alex. I’m not much of a shopper either, but would love to browse and take pics to share. And the candles are too beautiful to burn, but lovely to look at. Hey, they would make lovely gifts!
